For the person that wants the best! You probably will never see another Aqua Medic Aqua Space Light 2x 250W HQI metal halide with Actinic compact fluorescents for sale like this one. Why? Because it's never been used!!! These are no longer made, and I have had it for 20 years. I originally purchased it directly from AquaMedic back in 2003, when I ran a small aquarium shop. This is the top of the line! These are super sleek, the ballasts are built into the hood for a really clean look. It also has the original hanging hardware to suspected over your tank. This one is in the nice silver finish. AquaMedic has long stopped making these. Try only offer LED now. This is the classic halide for the real sunlight look. Includes TWO 250watt HQI 10,000k XDE bulbs, and the 2 compact fluorescents seen in the pics. I fired this up briefly on December 31, 2022 to check function. All works as should! There's some small wear along the top of the hood, from being stored all these years. But, last I checked, we tend to look at hour tanks, not the top of the hoods! These are great grow lights for your reef or freshwater plant tank. TWO Powerful 250W HQI metal halide bulbs. Don't know much about HQI? They create a nice 'glimmering/simmering' effect, like real sunlight does over water. They're also pure quartz bulbs, and need UV protective glass to properly use them (which this unit obviously has). This is especially good for the deeper tanks, where you need the power of the bulbs to reach your corals/plants. Original box and packaging as shown in pics. You will get item shown. Approx dimensions: 47.5" Long, 11.75" wide, 3.15" tall I will NOT ship, this thing is really heavy, and long. Local Southern California pick up only. I have no was of figuring out weight, so please do not ask.
